Around 2016 I released Dusk into Light without a plan. In fact, it turned out to be some strange take on Urban Fantasy fiction. Honestly, I don't even think it came close to hitting any of the genre tropes. A few years later I decided to start revamping the book covers as well as the story.
Now I'm writing out the full series. I won't release the rest until I have at least three full novels to publish one after the other. Honestly, that's about a month for one book and then I like to let them sit for another month for edits/final polishing. Which means, this series will finally start and actually have an ending to it.
Yay for determination!
That's a bit tongue-in-cheek humor on my part. When I first started writing I floundered about without a clue as to what I wanted to do. These days I'm not exactly much different except that I'm learning more with every book published.
In 2016, I had a 5K story. Now I have 3 novellas, and two 72K novels under my belt. Of course, this seems like nothing much to others but I'm not one to compare. Our journey as authors is unique.
And mine is taking a bit longer due to my stubborn penchant to write 'away' from market instead of straight to it. Ha!
I hope you take a chance on Dusk into Light. For fans of Urban Fantasy that dislike tons of romance and love plenty of action--I think you might enjoy my story. The rest of the series will follow a similar format of quirky female characters, action-packed scenes, and a dab of romantic strife.
